No one knows what those are fully but just wanted to introduce some possibly harmful effects. These never get the press. Only the books about the positive scheduling stuff have had their voices heard but I like to think critically about things and analyze both sides. Food for thought, really.Ericahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11001785644179072154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8013496266840326317.post-44724015849189167072012-01-16T05:11:43.733-08:002012-01-16T05:11:43.733-08:00I do think both the girls were in the 10AM/2PM nap...I do think both the girls were in the 10AM/2PM nap time regime somewhere between 6-9 months. I usually start trying for the 10AM around 4-6mo but the afternoons remain unpredictable for a good bit longer. I kind of like it this way when they are still in infant carriers because they are portable sleepers. This is huge for a baby coming into a busy family. You can't always do a 2pm nap bc may have to pick older kids up from school, etc...Once the baby carrier disappears and is isn't as easy to let them sleep through grocery shopping,etc...I find it easier to go out when they have had some nap bc they are happier=)so some sense of a schedule becomes a need for me at some point but it is later in the first year for me. Anyone else have thoughts?Ericahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11001785644179072154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8013496266840326317.post-31687554284952330812012-01-15T16:19:25.532-08:002012-01-15T16:19:25.532-08:00HI! Anyway, Erica....can you speak to at what point you DO recommend scheduling? I did it with both babies eventually....wasn't crazy uptight about it but it did really help me mentally. I just cannot remember for the life of me - who was how old?! They were so close together. Maybe I am supposed to click on that article link you gave- I'll try that. Otherwise, maybe someone else has my same question. Love you- thanks for sharing your thoughts, heart, encouragement! :) MMerediGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00947475258047626501noreply@blogger.com
